Hi! My name is Crystin. I am a "homemaker" in training I suppose. My resume is pretty extensive. I am currently an {okay} cook, a boo boo kisser, a playmate, a jungle gym, bug catcher, butt wiper... I think I'm missing butcher, {I'm not a} baker, and candle stick maker. We will put a pin in that. I am a stay at home mom to two boys and a wife to a pretty awesome husband who thinks I'm pretty awesome too. I love learning new things, tricks, tips, recipes, cleaning technique. I really love being a Home Maker and I am always still learning. I have a strange sense of humor sometimes but I always try to be honest. Motherhood is hard and I am doing the best I can with what I have. A mother's life is dirty, messy, fun, silly, pretty gross sometimes...it's exhausting, enjoyable and all in all, a darn good time.

Decorating Cents

My house needs a major overhaul. When it comes to decorating I am the least decisive person ever. I can never 100% decide on a decoration or a "theme"... I don't like "themes" a lot. I have an eclectic sense of decorating. When I see something I love, I want it and I will figure out where to incorporate it later. Decorating doesn't have to expensive by any means. I have decided that I need to decorate, but I want to decorate with only items I find at thrift stores or yard sales. I have some fun stuff in store for my house, if I can ever decide on what I want to put in it.  This weekend Jerry and I hit some flea markets and some yard sales and I scored majorly!! Below are some pictures of the stuff I bought...all marked below retail and stuff that I just couldn't live without!

This is my most favorite table I have ever bought. I love it. I am not sure why, but it's so awesome! I am going to put it in the foyer with a large mirror (that  I got at a yard sale the week before) over it. We got it at Hobby Lobby for about $54. Although it wasn't purchased at a yard sale or flea market, I had to have it.

This is the side of the table. It has the same design on the other side. It's hard to tell what this table is made of, but it's sturdy and heavy. Thanks to Jerry for hauling it around for me.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these crosses. I put them in the foyer next to the door. I found the table after I bought these crosses and was so excited when I found them!

Here is the mirror I am going to put over the table in the foyer. I purchased it last week at a yard sale for $10. It's very heavy!! I think I got a steal considering this mirror would be a lot more than $10 a retail store.

Wow! You did find some good deals :) I like that table, its very unique. And, the great thing about yard sale finds is that in 5 years when you don't like it anymore you can repaint it to repurpose it and NOT feel guilty! Haha!
